IOMSA First Vice President Brad Jackson Passes Away at 60

John Bradshaw “Brad” Jackson passed away Wed., March 2 in his Pine Bluff, AR home at the age ofJackson_Brad_headshot 60.

Jackson was born December 21, 1955 in Shreveport, LA, to Jerald Alfred and Joanne Bradshaw Jackson. During his childhood, his family spent time living in Louisiana, Texas, and Arkansas, where he graduated in 1974 from Pine Bluff High School.

In 1975, Jackson began his career at Planter’s Cotton Oil Mill. He retired in December 2015 as vice-president of production. He also was a long-time member of the International Oil Mill Superintendents Association, which he served most recently as 2015-2016 first vice president.

He was a member of the Church of Latter Day Saints, Port City Bass Club, and the River Rats Bass Club. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his mother, Joanne Jackson; son, Scott “Bradley” Jackson; daughter, Amy Jackson (Chad) Douglas; two brothers, Russ Jackson and Doug Jackson; grandchildren, Hannah Jackson, William Douglas, Avery Claire Kell, Malachi Gray, Paul Gray; stepchildren, Marc Gray and Neely Gray.

Jackson is preceded in death by his father, Jerald Alfred Jackson, and his brother, Andy Clay Jackson.
